Now that the Titans have been defeated, things are nearly back to normal for Zeus and his fellow Olympians, until a stranger named Hercules shows up. The king of Argos, Eurystheus, is after him for egging his temple. To make matters worse, Hercules has apparently been bragging that he single-handedly took down the Titans, and Eurystheus now intends to declare war.
Zeus's friends come up with an idea: Hercules could make up for egging Eurystheus's palace. In order to do this, Pythia the oracle reveals that Hercules must get a scale from a nine-headed serpent -- the Hydra. Will this be enough to please Eurysheus? Or is another battle on the horizon for the Olympians.
